So it has been a while since I have put anything up here sorry for that. I have gone through tons of change lately. In Nov I had started to get migraines well as time went on they got more frequent and medicine didn’t work on them like they should. In March I had to take an FMLA leave from work due to the being on a medicine that made me drowsy and was not safe for me to take and work at the manufacturing plant I did. I saw specialist from a neurosurgeon and two different neurologist I tried about 5-10 different medicine with different side effects or the medicines just didn’t work. Finally I called my old family doctor from down in Evansville and asked him if he knew of a place that just specialized in headaches. He recommended that I try the Diamond Headache Clinic in Chicago, IL. I did and after speaking with the neurologist there I was told I had chronic migraine headache and to top it off I was dealing with a rebound headache to the other medicines I had been taking. They admitted me to a hospital for a little over a week where I went through a detox type program and was able to reduce my migraines to about a 1 on the level scale. I was told as I left the hospital I would have to come for a followup a month to 6 weeks from that time to see the doctor and get my release notice since he was going to try and give me a few medicines to try when i did get headaches and wanted to make sure my reactions were okay for working in the manufacturing plant. Well a month passed and I headed up for my follow up visit and got released the dr was really impressed with my progress. I came home and went to bed the next morning I got up to call my employer but checked the mail first to find a letter in the mail stating i was terminated because i hadnt been back to work yet.
Right at the end of all this I found something that really helped me handle and deal with some of my depression and aggression that I would feel that went along with it. I made a string art picture for my mother. Everyone I showed it to encouraged me to keep going and make it into a side business but I was nervous but once I found out that I no longer was employed at the one place. I took a step out and decided to start an etsy.com business and to also do a couple of arts and craft fairs/festival. My first one is this weekend. I am super excited about it and will be posting more updates after the fair is over and showing a few of the design elements I made and show others how they can do them also.
The other fun thing I have accomplished is I signed up to lead my daughters Girl Scout Troop. It is a multi level group but I think I can tell that all the girls seem to get along really well from what I have seen so far. I will also be posting tips and tricks that I have done and found useful for doing multi level troop meetings.
Well I need to head out for now so I can get some sleep and get working on more “crafting”
